March 14, 2013

Hartford – State Senator Kevin Witkos (R-8) and State Representative Bill Simanski (R-62) will provide a legislative update at the Barkhamsted Board of Selectmen meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26th.

“I look forward to sharing information about the governor’s budget proposal and gathering your input to share with other legislators at the State Capitol,” said Senator Witkos. “Under the current proposal, Barkhamsted would lose over $1.1 million, impacting our local budget and concerning town leaders and legislators alike. With your help, we can develop a smarter budget proposal that will benefit families throughout northwest Connecticut.”

The legislators will be discussing the current legislative session, including the proposed state budget, the elimination of the motor vehicle tax and other issues of concern to Barkhamsted residents.

The event is open to the public and will be held at the Barkhamsted Town Hall located at 67 Ripley Hill Road.
