On March 18, Sen. Art Linares held a 90-minute Town Hall Meeting at the Chester Elementary School. Sen. Linares took questions from taxpayers and discussed the state budget.

“It was an excellent meeting,” Sen. Linares said. “These conversations allow me to show residents where their tax dollars go and discuss the need for greater fiscal responsibility. We also discussed my proposals to make Connecticut more business friendly. For example, I am pushing to eliminate the business entity tax and I want to get a bill passed to cancel a July gas tax hike. I am also fighting against a proposal to tax our heating oil. I thank Chester taxpayers for coming out and I look forward to future meetings.”
