Shelton Legislators Applaud $150,000 Funding Commitment to Local Company
January 29, 2013Hartford – State Senator Kevin C. Kelly (R-21) and State Representatives Jason Perillo (R-113) and Larry Miller (R-122) applauded the decision to award $150,000 in funding from Connecticut Innovations to NXT-ID, Inc. of Shelton on Monday, January 28th.
“Our state must focus more closely on economic growth and jobs,” said Senator Kevin Kelly. “Thanks to this funding by Connecticut Innovations, NXT-ID will be able to move forward with its mobile commerce, biometric access control and other advanced products. I applaud this commitment to Shelton and hope this initial step lays the groundwork for future innovation and jobs.”
“This is an important investment for Shelton and the region,” said Rep. Jason Perillo. “Economic development, and improving the conditions that lead to higher employment in the region continue to be among our highest priorities, and this investment will help expand the ability of NXT-ID to contribute to that overall effort.”
