Hamden – State Senator Kevin C. Kelly (R-21) attended the 22nd annual Stuff-A-Bus food drive and encouraged constituents to support the Connecticut Food Bank on Friday, November 16th.
“Thanksgiving provides us with an important opportunity to take a step back and recognize all that we have to be thankful for,” said Senator Kevin Kelly. “The Stuff-A-Bus food drive is a great example of the community coming together to help those who are less fortunate during this special time of year.”
Senator Kelly also spoke on air with Vinnie Penn of 960 WELI’s Vinnie Penn Project about the current budget deficit and the benefits of aging in place and thanked the volunteers for all their hard work.
“If you have the ability to make a donation or volunteer your time, I encourage you to get involved and give back to the community during this holiday season,” continued Senator Kelly.
Hosted by 960 WELI, KC 101.3 and ESPN Radio, the annual food drive collects non-perishables, frozen turkeys and monetary donations to help feed the less fortunate this holiday season. Stuff-A-Bus took place on Friday, November 16th from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, November 17th from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
