On Oct. 24, Sen. John A. Kissel (right) and Ed Palomba (left) toured the new accessible playground behind the Enfield Public Library on Middle Road.

Sen. Kissel said the playground is a “great addition to the community” and commended Palomba for his leadership on the Enfield Rotary-sponsored project.

The playground can accommodate more than 100 children at one time and is painted in bright primary colors. New benches, picnic tables, landscaping and a pavilion further enhance the park.

“This is such a fun, state-of -the-art destination point for our children,” Sen. Kissel said. “It’s a wonderful outdoor space where local families can spend time together and enjoy the fresh air. Community-minded leaders like Ed Palomba helped to make this happen, and we thank all of them for their hard work and generosity.”

Sen. Kissel also noted that many parents have their children do their homework in the library and when they are done they play on the playground.
