Sen. Jason Welch (www.senatorwelch.com) on September 13 was honored by the North Central Regional Mental Health Board (www.ncrmhb.org) for his work as ranking member of the legislature’s Public Health Committee.

In a ceremony held in New Britain, Board Executive Director Marcia DuFore presented Sen. Welch with a plaque for his advocacy and support of mental health issues over the past legislative session.

“This really is an honor, and I thank the board for the excellent work it does,” Sen. Welch said. “As a legislator, I do my very best to represent all of the people in my district. My goal is to help pass policies which improve everyone’s quality of life. I will continue working to help make a positive difference in the lives of people with mental illness in our communities.”
