On July 3, Sen. Michael McLachlan and Rep. Richard Smith donated a new United States flag to the New Fairfield Senior Center to replace the senior center’s aging flag. The new flag was flown over the State Capitol on June 18th.

“We are proud that this new flag will fly over the senior center – and just in time for the Fourth of July,” Senator McLachlan said.

The new flag was hoisted to the top of the senior center’s flag pole by Civil Air Patrol Color Guard cadets from New Fairfield High School.
