Sen. Jason Welch visited the Mobile Foodshare distribution site at the Plainville Housing Authority on July 23.

Established in 2000, Mobile Foodshare delivers perishable food items, including highly nutritious fruits and vegetables, to low-income individuals and seniors.

“By working with a network of community partners – including food pantries, community kitchens and shelters – Foodshare is able to provide millions of pounds of fresh produce to struggling families throughout our region,” Sen. Welch said.
