Chapin Achieves Perfect House Voting Record Again
July 12, 2012HARTFORD — State Rep. Clark Chapin continued his exemplary record of service in representing New Milford constituents by registering a 100 percent House voting record during the 2012 regular and special sessions. According to the House Clerk’s records, Chapin has recorded 100 percent in 11 of his 12 years in the legislature.
This year, Chapin made all 304 votes on the floor of the House of Representatives. Just 30 of 151 House legislators notched that accomplishment. The House Clerk’s office released the voting statistics last week.
“I’ve never lost sight of why I go to Hartford—to be the advocate for residents who have put their trust in me to represent their views,” said Chapin, ranking member of the legislature’s Environment Committee. “It’s a tremendous responsibility that I take seriously. Community members deserve strong, thoughtful representation in Hartford.”
Chapin also serves on the legislature’s Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee as well as the Human Services Committee. He was first elected to the state legislature in 2000.
