Southington Pavilion Dedication

Joe Laporte, Sen. Markley and Rep. Sampson

Southington, CT – On Monday a community pavilion was dedicated in Southington. At the ceremony were State Senator Joe Markley (R-Southington) and State Representative Rob Sampson (R-Wolcott). The legislators presented a General Assembly citation to Joe Laporte. The citation was signed by the district delegation including Representatives: Rob Sampson, Joe Aresimowicz, Zeke Zalaski, Al Adinolfi, and Senator Joe Markley in recognition of the new pavilion. Park Commissioner Joe LaPorte has been on the park board over 30 years and played a major role in converting the former Southington Drive-In into a park that will include an all purpose field, pavilion, and recreation area for the Drive-In.
