Shelton Legislators Meet with Constituents at Stop & Shop in Shelton

May 30, 2012

SHELTON – State Senator Kevin C. Kelly (R-21) and State Representatives Jason Perillo (R-113) and Larry Miller (R-122) joined constituents for a “Legislators on Your Sidewalk” event outside the Stop & Shop Supermarket located at 898 Bridgeport Avenue on Thursday, May 24th.

“It is always a pleasure to speak with you about what we have been doing in Hartford,” said Senator Kevin Kelly. “This year, we voted on hundreds of proposals, and I am proud to have passed legislation benefitting seniors and protecting our war memorials. If you could not attend this event, I encourage you to reach out and share your thoughts with me.”

“Some folks have problems that we can help them address. Others simply want to know more about the future of our State. These gatherings are an excellent way to reach out to people and it is always great to see them well attended,” said Rep. Jason Perillo.

“It’s great meeting with the people who we are accountable to in the district. I represent their concerns and work daily to fight each day for a better quality of life for all Shelton residents,” said Rep. Lawrence Miller.

The legislators spoke with constituents about the 2012 legislative session, including budget concerns, job creation, education reform and many other issues.
