State Senator Kevin Kelly presents an official citation to the 2011 league and state champion boys soccer team from Bunnell High School at the State Capitol.

Hartford – State Senator Kevin C. Kelly (R-21) welcomed members of the 2011 league and state champion boys soccer team from Bunnell High School of Stratford to the State Capitol on Wednesday, April 18th.

“I am so proud of this team and to have the opportunity to welcome them to the State Capitol,” said Senator Kevin Kelly. “These impressive athletes have captured the attention and admiration of our community through their remarkable performance on the soccer field.”

Senator Kelly presented the team with an official citation in the Senate Chamber to honor their historic performance bringing the first boys soccer state championship title to the Town of Stratford.

“I congratulate their historic win and look forward to another successful season ahead for the Bulldogs,” continued Senator Kelly.

Bunnell High School defeated Avon High School to with the Class L boys soccer state championship game by a score of 3-0 on November 26, 2011.
