State Senator John A. Kissel helped distribute food to needy area residents on Dec. 2 at St. Patrick’s Church in Enfield.

The distribution was run by Mobile Foodshare, an outdoor food distribution initiative for low income individuals. The food choices vary from week to week but usually include bread and several types of fresh produce.

Kissel thanked Gloria McAdam, President and CEO of Foodshare, and her Foodshare volunteers for their outreach efforts. Foodshare is part of a national movement to raise awareness and take action to fight hunger in America.
