State Senator Michael McLachlan participated in the Dec. 9 Project Homeless Connect, an annual event at Western Connecticut State University that offers one-stop delivery of housing and social services at no cost to people who are homeless or on limited incomes. .

“The fair brought together over 60 area agencies to deliver on the spot help to the homeless and those in need of housing and social service assistance,” McLachlan said. “Medical, dental, and vision services were offered, and agencies provided information on housing, financial information, and foreclosure prevention. Greater Danbury volunteers from civic groups, churches, WestConn and area businesses all helped to make this event a success. We applaud their efforts.”

McLachlan represents New Fairfield, Danbury, Bethel and Sherman.
