Approximately 100 people attended Wednesday’s Senior Health and Wellness Fair at the Danbury War Memorial. The fair was staged in partnership with the Danbury Department of Elderly Services.
Health screenings and guidance about programs relating to wellness, legal issues and financial services were provided.
Approximately 50 flu shots were provided by Western Connecticut Home Care, formerly the Danbury VNA.
“I thank greater Danbury residents for coming out to the fair,” State Sen. Michael McLachlan said. “I also thank the dozens of vendors from state and local agencies who came out to provide area residents with excellent services and advice. I know their efforts were very much appreciated by the folks in attendance.”
