Effective Immediately, Danbury DMV is now a Full-Service Hub

October 11, 2011

Effective immediately, the Danbury office of the Department of Motor Vehicles is now a full-service hub serving western Connecticut.

The office can now test drivers and issue the full range of new licenses –services that had been curtailed there.

During the summer, the reduced service at the Danbury Branch of the DMV was built as a cost-saving, budget cutting measure, the inconvenience of forcing taxpayers to drive further with the closest full service DMV in Waterbury. The reductions in services of the Danbury DMV would have been devastating for the local businesses and many of area auto related businesses that rely on a local DMV to complete their sales transactions.

This is a victory for the people of Greater Danbury.
