Traffic Advisory for Bristol

NEWINGTON, The State Department of Transportation is announcing that road repairs will be performed on the bypass roadway, Old Terryville Road in Bristol due to the Route 72 (Terryville Road) washout. This work is expected to occur on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 and Thursday, September 15, 2011.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Wednesday and Thursday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
