Busway Meeting on Environmental Impact

We were granted this environmental hearing by Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) after gathering signatures on a petition.
The state is willing to spend nearly $60 million a mile to build a Busway no one wants or needs and is setting aside $9 million to “protect” wetlands along the proposed route.
I don’t believe the environmental impact of constructing and operating the busway has been adequately examined, and I don’t believe that use of the existing rail road has been considered as an alternative to the Busway.
The project was a boondoggle ten years ago and it’s grown to be a half a billion dollar boondoggle today.
I intend to stay on the issue until this misbegotten project is stopped.
Hope to see you tonight!
Joe
