Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 10 in Simsbury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced that a milling and resurfacing project will be preformed on Route 10 in Simsbury, from the Granby town line down to the Route 167/West Street intersection. Road work is scheduled to begin on Sunday, June 26, 2011 and is expected to be completed by Thursday, August 4, 2011.
The project consists of the removal of two inches of existing pavement, sealing of the pavement cracks and resurfacing.
The regular work schedule for the project is 7:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m., Sunday – Thursday. Be advised that alternating one way traffic will be in effect during those evenings.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
