On May 18 at the State Capitol, Granby State Senator John A. Kissel met with Joseph Gron, a student at Granby Middle School who serves with Granby Boy Scout Troop 125.

To complete his First Class rank advancement requirement, Gron asked Senator Kissel a series of questions about individuals’ rights under the U.S. Constitution.

During their conversation, Gron and Kissel also discussed the difference between a regulation and a law, as well as the number of legislators who serve in the Connecticut General Assembly.

“Joe is a bright and community-minded young man, and it was a pleasure to discuss these topics with him,” Senator Kissel said. “Asking questions is the path to learning, and I wish Joe nothing but the best in his future work with the Scouts.”
