Promoting a “Healthier Enfield”

State Senator John A. Kissel recently met with local officials to discuss a wellness initiative called Healthy ENFIELD.

Enfield Social Services Department Director Pam Brown and Stan Schapiro, the Division Director of Community Health Resources, are encouraging Enfield residents to commit to Healthy ENFIELD’s “Be Fit! Live Well!” campaign.

The goal is to promote a better physical and emotional well-being for all members of the Enfield community. The spring challenge for Enfield residents is as follows: 6 weeks of exercise, 5 days per week.

As part of the campaign, Enfield Healthtrax has offered a free membership to the first 100 families or individuals who register. Residents who are interested can contact Sara Gregory, Heathtrax Wellness Program Coordinator at 860-745-2408.
