Forum to Protect the Farmington River and State Waterways – Monday, April 11th
April 11, 2011Dear Neighbors,
As the warmer weather sets in, more folks begin using the state’s waterways. April 16th marks opening day for fishing season, crew teams resume practicing, and families kickoff boating season.
In an effort to keep our waterways protected and inform you about environmental laws pertaining to boaters, I encourage you and your family to attend a public forum on Monday April 11th.
I will join experts from the Department of Environmental Protection and the Lower Farmington River & Salmon Brook Wild & Scenic Study to highlight current environmental concerns and all the ways you can and must work to keep our rivers and lakes clean.
