Ellington Town Hall Meeting a Success

Sen. Anthony Guglielmo (R-Stafford Springs) and Rep. Chris Davis (R-East Windsor) talking with constituents about the proposed state budget at Ellington Town Hall
Ellington, CT – A number of concerned residents came out Thursday evening to weigh in on the governor’s proposed state budget at Ellington Town Hall.
Senator Tony Guglielmo and Representative Chris Davis shared a brief presentation on the state’s budget deficit and the administration’s proposal.
“One thing about the governor’s budget is…it’s an honest budget, “said Senator Guglielmo “But that doesn’t mean I like it.”
After the presentation legislators took time to answer questions and agreed with the crowd that Governor Malloy’s budget proposal relies too heavily on tax increases and too little on spending cuts.
