ADVISORY: Senator Joe Markley to appear before the State Supreme Court

After the NOON hearing Senator Markley will have an opportunity to answer questions outside on the front steps.
Why: Senator Markley’s lawsuit against the Department of Public Utility Control will be heard before the State Supreme Court.

Background:
The Attorney General’s Office requested the State Supreme Court take the case directly. At issue: According to state treasury officials the state hopes to offer an approximately $700 million securitization of utility charges in April. However, until Senator Markley’s case is decided the money can not be offered.
