Ready to Serve

Dear Neighbor,
It is with great pleasure that I write to you as your newly elected State Senator. I am honored by this privilege and will dedicate my time to serving you and all those in the 21st Senatorial District.
Our community is a wonderful place to live, and I believe the best way to protect our quality of life is to provide the finest education for our children, protect our seniors, and adopt policies that will grow our economy, lead to lower taxes and create jobs.
The next two years will bring many challenges as we seek to meet the needs of our communities in the face of a weakened economy and $7.3 billion projected budget deficit. We in the legislature must work together to address these insolvencies by making the difficult but necessary decisions that reduce the size of government, eliminate wasteful spending, and make Connecticut more affordable for our businesses, families and seniors struggling to cope with rising expenses.
It is critical that these economic challenges are overcome without burdening our cities and towns with unfunded mandates, or our businesses with added taxes. By doing this, we can protect our state’s future for generations to come.
As many of the best ideas for public policy come from constituents, I encourage you to contact me with any questions, concerns or opinions you may have. Your feedback is critical in shaping our state government. You can contact my office toll-free at 800.842.1421 or at [email protected].
Thank you for this great opportunity to be of service to you in the state senate. I look forward to hearing from you and acting as your voice in Hartford. As always, please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of assistance to you or your family.
Sincerely,
Kevin Kelly
State Senator, 21st District
