Line Painting on Merritt Parkway and Route 25 to Begin Week of September 12th

Hello Everyone,

I hope that this update is helpful for those of you traveling the Merritt Parkway (Route 15) and Route 25:

The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced that a line painting project will be performed on Route 15 (north and south) from the New York State Line to the Meriden Town Line, and on Route 25 from the Route 8 split to Route 111 in Bridgeport/Trumbull. This project began on Sunday, September 12, 2010, and is scheduled to be completed Friday, October 8, 2010.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zones. The regular work schedule for this project is 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday – Thursday evenings.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
