Hartford, CT – State Senator L. Scott Frantz (R-Greenwich) today was named a 2009 Children’s Champion by the Connecticut Early Childhood Alliance at a special ceremony in Hartford today. Senator Frantz and a number of his legislative colleagues joined at the State Capitol this morning to receive the award for their work to improve the education, healthcare and overall wellbeing of young children.

“Being named a 2009 Children’s Champion is a true honor,” said Senator Frantz. “The mission of the Connecticut Early Childhood Alliance is a cause very close to my heart. By coordinating a number of agencies and advocacy groups, the Connecticut Early Childhood Alliance improves the education, health and overall care for the youngsters in our state at a time in their lives when they need that care most. This care will provide a solid foundation they can build upon for the rest of their lives and I am proud to be recognized by such an exemplary organization.”
