July 2, 2008

All Constituents From The Seventh District Welcome

State Senator John A. Kissel, R-Enfield, will be holding office hours on Tuesday, July 8th, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Somers Town Hall in the downstairs Conference Room. The office hours, organized by Sen. Kissel, are intended to give residents of the town of Somers and the surrounding towns of the 7th District an opportunity to talk with John about state issues that are important to them.

“There are so many important issues on people’s minds right now, with gas prices and the economy being number one,” said Senator Kissel, who serves as the Ranking Senator on the legislature’s Judiciary, Human Services and Program Review and Investigations Committees and is a member of the Legislative Management Committee as well as multiple task forces. “Whether I can help a person with a state agency or learn about a new idea for proposed legislation, I love listening to my constituents. Sometimes listening and learning from constituents is the most important public service one can do. I encourage anyone who needs assistance or wants information about a particular issue to join me at the Somers Town Hall on Tuesday.” concluded Senator Kissel.

Senator Kissel serves the people of Enfield, Suffield, Somers, Windsor Locks, East Granby and portions of Granby and Windsor.
