Senator Kissel Pleased with State Grant for Elderly Transportation System in Enfield

State Senator John A. Kissel (R-Enfield) today praised the North Central District Health Department (NCDHD) and Home & Community Health Services, Inc. for their cooperative efforts to help provide flu shots for community members in need. NCDHD was recently awarded 500 free doses of Influenza vaccine through the Connecticut Department of Health and helped set up a clinic where the shots will be administered.
“I would like to recognize the NCDHD and Home & Community Health Services, Inc. for their willingness to reach out to community members who, because of insurance or economic reasons, have been unable to receive a flu vaccination,” said Senator Kissel, who serves as a Deputy Minority Leader. “Their efforts to see that those in need remain healthy this winter season is commendable.”
In order to be eligible, recipients must be at least 18 years of age, must not be currently ill or symptomatic, and must not be allergic to eggs, Latex, or Thimerosal. Those interested may pre-register by calling the NCDHD at (860) 745-0383 between 8:30 AM & 4:30 PM Shots will be administered from 8:30-11:30 AM this Thursday December 7th at Asnuntuck Community College in Enfield.
Senator Kissel represents the 7th District communities of East Granby, Enfield, Granby, Somers, Suffield, Windsor, and Windsor Locks.
