State Senator John A. Kissel (R-Enfield), along with State Representatives Steve Jarmoc (D-59th) and Kathleen M. Tallarita (D-58th) were recognized at an event that took place on Tuesday, June 6th for their legislative work dealing with adult day care issues. The event was held at the Enfield Adult Day Care Center located on Beech Road in Enfield. Members of the Felician Adult Day Care Center, Enfield’s only other adult day care facility, also participated in the event.

Several state and local officials were in attendance including Julia Evans Starr, the Executive Director of the Connecticut Commission on Aging and Mag Morelli from the Connecticut Association of Not-for-Profit Providers for the Aging (CANPFA). Morelli presented awards on behalf of the Connecticut Association of Adult Day Care Centers.

“I would like to thank both Holly Vanucci, the Executive Director and the Enfield Adult Day Care Center and Sister Patricia of the Felician Adult Day Care Center for this wonderful award and for organizing this event today,” said Senator Kissel, who has been the Ranking Senator on the General Assembly’s Select Committee on Aging since its creation in 1997. “I would also like to recognize the dedicated professionals and volunteers at both adult day care facilities in town who do such outstanding work caring for seniors in Enfield.”
