Senator Kissel Happy with Federal Funding for Asnuntuck Community College

$198,000 Grant Will Help Improve College’s Manufacturing Technology Center

State Senator John A. Kissel (R-Enfield) is thrilled with the announcement that Asnuntuck Community College will receive a $198,000 federal grant for its Manufacturing Technology Center. The funding is awarded through the federal Department of Labor and will be formally presented by Congressman Rob Simmons (R-2nd) today at 2 PM at Asnuntuck Community College.

“I would like to thank Congressman Simmons for helping to secure this federal grant which will help improve the excellent education and training services already provided at Asnuntuck’s Manufacturing Technology Center,” said Senator Kissel. “With this funding, the Center will continue to equip students in North Central Connecticut with the skills and knowledge they need to advance their careers.”

Asnuntuck Community College is located in Enfield and offers both associate degrees and certificate programs in over 30 disciplines.

Senator Kissel is a Deputy Minority Leader and the Ranking Senator on the Judiciary Committee. He represents the communities of East Granby, Enfield, Granby, Somers, Suffield, Windsor, and Windsor Locks.
