Senator Fasano to Serve as Panelist at LNG Conference in Boston

December 5, 2005

State Senator Len Fasano (R-North Haven) will serve as a panelist at LNG Development in the Northeast, at a two-day conference on the implications of Liquefied Natural Gas projects organized by Law Seminars International. Senator Fasano is the Chairman of the Long Island Sound LNG Task Force, which has been examining the public health, safety, and environmental implications of a proposed LNG Facility approximately 12 miles off the Connecticut Coast in Long Island Sound.

“This is a great opportunity and I would like to thank the organizers for inviting me to participate,” said Senator Fasano. “Having the chance to speak to and ask questions of experts in the LNG field and hear a variety of perspectives should be extremely helpful with our work in Connecticut. I look forward to sharing many of these fresh ideas with my fellow Task Force members.”

The Conference is being held December 5th and 6th at the Hyatt Regency in Boston, MA. Senator Fasano’s panel topic is ‘The Future of LNG in the Northeast.’ He will sit alongside Gordon Shearer, the CEO of Weaver’s Cove Energy in Fall River, MA and William S. Cooper of Hunton & Williams LLP in Washington DC.

Senator Fasano is a Minority Leader and is serving his second term representing the 34th District communities of East Haven, North Haven, and Wallingford.
