“Senator Kissel and Friends” Features Representatives from Network Against Domestic Abuse of North Central CT

October 4, 2005

State Senator John A. Kissel (R-Enfield) was joined by representatives from the Network Against Domestic Abuse of North Central CT (NADA) on Monday evening at a taping of his monthly cable show “Senator Kissel and Friends.”
Pat Settembrino, NADA’s Executive Director, Sue Kucienski, the organization’s Community Director, and Al Faloretti, who serves as the Vice President of NADA’s Board of Directors joined Senator Kissel to discuss a variety of services offered by the Network. The episode will air Mondays at 9:30 P.M. on Cox Cable Channel 15 throughout October.

“First I would like to thank Pat, Sue, and Al for coming on the program to share with viewers the many activities and support groups designed to help women and children in need in our local communities,” said Senator Kissel. “Plus, October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, so their appearance is very timely.”

Over the summer, the Network’s offices were lost in a fire, but with the community’s assistance NADA has continued on its over twenty-year mission of reducing the incidence of domestic violence and assisting adult victims and their children to live free of violence.

“All three guests spoke about how the community has been tremendously supportive of their efforts to re-build and continue their critical services following this summer’s fire. I encourage viewers to tune into this uplifting program so they can learn how they can help the Network with its important mission,” added Senator Kissel.

Senator Kissel is serving his seventh term representing the seventh district communities of East Granby, Enfield, Granby, Somers, Suffield, Windsor, and Windsor Locks.
