Sen. Kissel Supports Governor Rell’s Efforts to Help Hurricane Katrina Victims
September 2, 2005State Senator John A. Kissel (R-Enfield) has expressed his support for Governor M. Jodi Rell’s efforts coordinating a Connecticut relief effort to assist victims of Hurricane Katrina. The Governor has set up six collection agencies at State Armories across the state where residents can drop off a variety supplies for victims of the hurricane.
“It has become clear from news coverage of the event that Hurricane Katrina is one of the worst natural disasters in our nation’s history. I commend Governor Rell’s quick and decisive leadership so that those in Connecticut have a way to help the men, women, and children in need,” said Senator Kissel. “I encourage residents of my district as well as across the state to generously donate whatever they can to the relief efforts.”
Senator Kissel is a Deputy Minority Leader and represents the seventh district communities of East Granby, Enfield, Granby, Somers, Suffield, Windsor, and Windsor Locks.
