Company to Announce Wallingford as Site for Headquarters

State Senator Len Fasano (R-34 th ) and State Representative Mary Fritz (D-90th) are excited that Mortgage Lenders Network USA Inc. has selected Wallingford as the site for the construction of its world headquarters. The company has scheduled a press conference this morning at 11:30am in its Middletown office to officially announce the move. The corporation had narrowed its choice to Wallingford and a site in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Both Senator Fasano and Representative Fritz were instrumental in helping to keep the company in Connecticut.

“This is tremendous for Wallingford and for the state’s economy. Not only will the company’s 620 current jobs remain in state, but the company has committed to creating over 1,000 news jobs in the area,” said Senator Fasano. “We need to continue to make Connecticut business-friendly. The state was able to offer Mortgage Lenders a variety of tax breaks provided that they meet certain employment levels. It is these types of incentives that will continue to bring in businesses and create new jobs in the Connecticut.”

“This is great news for Wallingford,” Rep. Fritz said. “We welcome Mortgage Lenders with open arms. This announcement is a shot of adrenaline for economic development in our town. I will do whatever I can to make Mortgage Lenders’ transition as easy as possible.”
The Mortgage Lenders site will be located on a 109-acre parcel at the corner of Leigus Road and Route 68.
