Senator Fasano to be Named Connecticut Farm Bureau “Legislator of the Year”

State Senator Len Fasano (R-East Haven) has been named “Legislator of the Year” by the Connecticut Farm Bureau Association (CFBA) at the organization’s annual meeting banquet. Senator Fasano was honored for his tireless work helping to preserve farmland in Connecticut during his first two years in the legislature.

“I am honored that CFBA recognized my efforts and I pledge that I will remain committed to preserving open space and keeping Connecticut air clean and water pure,” said Senator Fasano. “Environmental preservation is something that legislators on both sides of the aisle must continue to commit to. We have a beautiful state and we need to keep its environmental health a top priority.”

The CFBA is a non-governmental, voluntary organization of farm families united to find solutions for concerns facing production agriculture and was formed in 1915. The organization’s mission is to elevate the stature of agriculture in our state. Through education, market promotion and legislative advocacy, it strives to increase farm income and to improve the quality of life for Connecticut farmers and their consumers.
Senator Fasano was recently re-elected to his second term serving the 34 th state Senate district that includes East Haven, North Haven, and Wallingford.
