Senator Guglielmo Names Dock Sellers Stafford Liaison

February 19, 2004

State Senator Tony Guglielmo, R-Stafford, has appointed longtime Stafford resident Dock Sellers to be his volunteer liaison to the town. According to Sen. Guglielmo, in his position as liaison, Sellers will assist him with local constituent matters.

“Dock is a friend to so many people in Stafford. Having him as my liaison to the town is just another avenue for people to get in touch with me,” said Sen. Guglielmo. “If anyone has a concern about a local issue and they don’t want to call me directly they can contact Dock knowing that he will relay their concerns to me.”

According to Sen. Guglielmo, Dock Sellers is a son of South Carolina sharecroppers and a 44-year resident of Connecticut. He is a former Chaplain’s Assistant stationed in Germany in the United States Army. Locally, Sellers is a former member of the Board of Assessment Appeals and has served as the chairman of the Stafford Republican Town Committee since 1990. He might be most known for his 31 years as a barber in Stafford.

“I am very pleased to have Dock assist me, he knows just about everything going on in Stafford so I think he will be a big help to me and those who want or need to get in touch with me,” said Sen. Guglielmo.
For matters of local concern Dock Sellers can be reached at 684-5066. Sen. Guglielmo said that as always he can be reached at his office in Hartford at 1-800-842-1421.
