We must also continue to properly invest in students and teachers throughout Connecticut, while ensuring that those investments produce meaningful results. Great meeting with the Middlebury Historical Society to discuss progress on the Rochambeau Monument Project.

This important effort will honor the French troops who marched through Middlebury in 1781 as part of the alliance that helped secure American independence. Timed with our nation’s 250th anniversary, the monument will serve as a lasting tribute to the sacrifices made in the fight for freedom.

Looking forward to its installation at Meadowview Park in 2026. MORE: www.middleburyhistoricalsociety.org/rochambeau-project/
