Eric Berthel in the Senate Chamber in Hartford on May 1, as Christopher Shea was recognized for his work as the founder of the “Hero to Hero” program. The program helps special operators and other highly skilled military Veterans transition to first-responder careers. Shea started the program after a distinguished career with the U.S. Navy’s Special Operations team.

“It was a pleasure to meet Chris and hear his remarkable story. His work is a testament to his dedication to both our nation and the town of North Haven. Chris has been instrumental in creating a pathway for many skilled Veterans to transition into first-responder roles through his Hero to Hero program. This is an important service during a time when our towns need more heroes in first-responder positions,” said Sen. Cicarella.
