Action Alert: Public Hearings on CT Toll-Related Bills!

March 1, 2019

If you don’t want CT to become the most tolled state in America…

And if you don’t like the idea of a “CT Mileage Tax”…

Then please read on:

There is a public hearing on Monday on the CT Democrats’ bill to create an unelected “Connecticut Transportation Authority”.  While the bill’s language doesn’t actually mention tolls or the setting of future toll rates, many have speculated that this bill is just a back-door pathway to tolls.

What can you do?

There is a public hearing on Wednesday on the CT Democrats’ Bill 7280 allowing the state to impose tolls.

And can you believe THIS?

The language in Bill 7280 says that a tolling proposal submitted by the CT Department of Transportation will be deemed approved if the General Assembly does not hold a vote within 15 days. YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS WOULDN’T EVEN HAVE TO VOTE! This would allow DOT to begin construction of toll gantries almost immediately.
What can you do?

There is a public hearing on Wednesday on the CT Democrats’ Bill 7202 that allows the CT DOT to put tolls on Routes 84, 91, 95, and 15. Tolls would NOT just be on the borders. And tolls could be on ALL vehicles.

What can you do?

IF YOU ATTEND IN PERSON ON WEDNESDAY:

Tolls opponents will be wearing RED.

Raise your voices!

Tell your friends and neighbors and co-workers!

Tell them “NO” to TOLLS!

Hope to see you there!
