On 9/11: “we saw a nation, no matter how different or what our problems were, we all came together all at once.”

September 11, 2018

“. . . it was a moment when we were thinking that our entire world would come, could possibly come to an end. But as you said, it was also an incredible time when we saw a nation, no matter how different or what our problems were, we all came together all at once. Because no matter where we came from, who we were as Americans, we come together and unite when we’re threatened.”

That is an excerpt from my interview with Brad Davis on his Talk of Connecticut radio program on WDRC, as we remember the horror that happened on this day 17 years ago. You can hear the full interview by clicking on the link below.

As we remember the events of that day, where we were and the incredible heartbreak we felt, I hope we also remember the bravery of first responders and everyday citizens who stepped up to help the victims. Remember the incredible courage of the passengers on flight 93 who learned what was happening and fought back against the terrorists.

While today is a day of sorrow, it is also a day that reminds us of what makes the United States and its citizens the greatest nation on earth.

God bless.
