9/11: We Will Never Forget

September 11, 2018

9.11 (2)

Seventeen years-ago today, nearly 3,000  began their daily routine of working and living not knowing that day would be their last. Millions of Americans and others around the world watched as airplanes were turned into weapons, buildings collapsed, and first responders worked desperately to save lives. We remember the horror of this day, the heartache, and the attack on our soil that killed 2,996 innocent souls. We pledge that we will never forget.

I hope we also remember on this day the heroic and selfless acts of first responders and everyday civilians. Remember the people who jumped into action to rescue and care for fellow human beings and brought victims into their homes for safety. Remember how all Americans across this great nation came together. And remember how our allies around the world pledged that we would not endure this alone.

Just as we never forget the tragedy of 9/11, may we also never forget our ability to come together, as well as the courage and strength that make the United States the greatest country on earth.

God bless America
