Fasano: “Hateful rhetoric attacking anyone because of their race is unacceptable”

Senate Republican President Pro Tempore Len Fasano (R-North Haven) released the following statement regarding an offensive tweet about State Representative William Tong.

“Hateful rhetoric attacking anyone because of their race, ethnicity or background is unacceptable and has no place here in Connecticut. Representative Tong was targeted by an irrelevant individual with a tweet that is ignorant, immature and irresponsible. Connecticut residents want to hear about policies regarding real issues, not personal attacks. To inject such rhetoric distracts from the meaningful debates we should be having.”
