This ‘Know-Nothing’ did the math: $500 more a year.

August 6, 2018

I received an email with the subject line, “From a Know-Nothing”.

The central Connecticut taxpayer who wrote it serves in the military.

So does his wife.

They work in Massachusetts.

Their children and grandchildren live here in Connecticut.

He pointed out that “(Gov. Malloy’s) 3 1/2 cents a mile toll/tax would add over $500 a year to our vehicle expenses.”

The added expense, he said could drive his wife and him out of Connecticut.

Gov. Malloy refers to toll opponents as “Know-Nothings”, but the “Know-Nothings” know a lot more than he gives them credit for.

Some of those “Know-Nothings”, like the man who emailed me, serve in our military and are grandparents.

Are YOU a “Know-Nothing” too?

Send me YOUR “Know-Nothing” questions and observations at [email protected]

Include your name and town.

I am listening.

I will make sure the governor sees them.

It is an honor to represent “Know-Nothing” taxpayers like you.
