Fasano Statement re: CT Lottery Corporation Naming New President & CEO

HARTFORD – Senate Republican President Pro Tempore Len Fasano (R-North Haven) released the following statement regarding the Connecticut Lottery Corporation’s selection of Gregory Smith as its new president and CEO.

“I want to welcome and congratulate Gregory Smith on being named the new President and CEO of the Connecticut Lottery Corporation. I thank the CLC search committee for conducting a comprehensive review of many candidates for the position and for selecting an individual with experience managing lotteries in other states. I am hopeful that selecting an external candidate for this position with an extensive resume of experience will be an important first step in restoring the public’s trust in the CLC. I look forward to working with Mr. Smith to better understand his ideas to bring stability, confidence and respect for taxpayer dollars back to this organization.”
