Free Flu Vaccines in New London & Old Saybrook

State Flu Vaccination Day:

Get your flu vaccine in New London or Old Saybrook on Saturday, January 27

In an effort to protect the public’s health and reduce the spread of the influenza (flu) virus which has heavily affected the state, the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) is teaming up with local health departments to provide free or low cost influenza vaccine at several locations across the state on Saturday, January 27th. The DPH is strongly encouraging all Connecticut residents over the age of 6 months to get a flu shot, and is working with local health departments and districts to make it easy to get one.

Local Clinics on Saturday January 27:

  • New London: Ledge Light Health District: 216 Broad St. New London, 11 am – 1 pm (local health department number 860-448-4882)
  • Old Saybrook: CT River Area Health District Office, 455 Boston Post Rd, Old Saybrook (Saybrook Junction), 10 am – 1 pm (local health department 860-661-3300) Note in Old Saybrook the child vaccine is only available for children over age 4.

You may attend ANY clinic regardless of the town you live in. If you have an insurance card please bring one. Your insurance will be billed a small administration fee but you will not be charged anything out of pocket. The vaccine is free.
