Look for Medicare Savings Plan Fix in January

I said I would update you about the legislature’s efforts to restore crucial funding for the Medicare Savings Program. Below is a link to a story from News 8 about lawmakers’ plans to make other budget cuts to fund the program without raising taxes.

The $54 million we will allocate to the program in January helps cover Medicare-related expenses for tens of thousands of needy senior citizens and people with disabilities.
