New London Swears in New Chief of Police

On Wednesday evening, State Senator Paul Formica (R-20) joined the New London Police Department, Mayor Michael Passero, and local officials to swear in the city’s new Chief of Police Peter G. Reichard.

“It was an honor to be a part of this very special ceremony welcoming our new Chief of Police Peter G. Reichard,” said Senator Paul Formica. “The New London Police Department has been dedicated to working with members of the community to foster safety and peace throughout our great city.  New London has much to offer its residents and we are continuing to improve and grow our community every day. Our professional and compassionate police force takes on a major role in this process by protecting people and working to improve the quality of life for all people in our city. I thank Chief Reichard for his leadership and service and I wish him all the best in his efforts to continue improving our city, protecting residents and building a community we can all take great pride in.”
