Merritt Parkway Ramp Closures May Impact Overnight Travel

October 2, 2017

The Connecticut Department of Transportation says that Northbound exit and entrance ramps 41 and 42 on the Merritt Parkway will be closed on an intermittent basis overnight beginning at midnight tonight, October 2 and continuing through October 13.

Drivers should be prepared to follow detour signs. The Contractor will begin milling and paving both lanes of the Merritt Parkway northbound from the Newtown Turnpike overpass in Westport to the Congress Street overpass in Fairfield. Traffic accessing the entrance and exit ramps for Exit 41 and 42 northbound will be detoured as work passes these locations. Ramp closures and detours will occur after midnight and will effect only one ramp at a time.
