State Senator Paul Formica (R-East Lyme) attended the East Lyme Annual Forum on Suicide Prevention and Mental Health on September 28. The annual forum is organized by community members including Ann Dagle, creator of the Brian T. Dagle Memorial Foundation Inc.

“I want to thank all those who organized the East Lyme Annual Forum on Suicide Prevention and Mental Health. This is an issue that touches all of our lives – directly or indirectly. It is important that we talk about prevention and healing, and work together to reduce the stigma that often surrounds mental health issues,” said Sen. Formica, who shared his own story of a family member losing their life to suicide. “It was an honor to be a part of this conversation and inspiring to see so many strong and brave individuals share their stories and offer support to one another.”
